This week we'll be focusing on the plant & animal cells. The week's calendar can be found here. We'll start by viewing a PowerPoint about each of their organelles. The slideshow can be found here.
The Cell Project is due on Friday, March 13, 2009. A copy of the project description & grading rubric can be found here.

are these good jeopardy categories?
ReplyDeletenucleus, cell membrane, lysosome, chloroplast, ribosome
Yes, those are good categories, but I'm curious what questions you'll be asking about each. You could do something like...
ReplyDeleteRibosomes:
1) This is the part of a city to which a ribosome can be compared.
2) This is the type of cell in which a ribosome is found.
3) This is the function of a ribosome.
4) This is the structure of the ribosome.
I'm not sure what other questions you'd be able to write for each.
Why not make your categories: Function, Structure, Analogy, and Animal/Plant (they have to identify where the organelle is found)?
Good luck, Ricky!

ReplyDeletehey ms. Craig this is a rough sketch of it
ReplyDeletecheck to see if it works and if it is kind of the same idea you're going with

The rough sketch looks good! I've never seen a site that will play a Jeopardy game like that...it's sort of cool!
ReplyDeletefor the cell project we have to put the structure or the function
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous...you'll have to put BOTH structure & function, but do not worry about the analogy!
ReplyDeletethis i so cool o and i go to east middle school
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL DEPICTION! I see HORRID images of the plant cell all the time, and I am so astounded that there is, in fact, a good picture! I am in middle school in Idaho, and let me tell you, I am surrounded by idots. THANK YOU for helping me realize that I am not the only intelligent person on this planet. :D
